Since 1999, Northern Welding Academy has been providing skilled training to individuals in the Greater Sudbury area. As a division of WCTR, our team of experienced instructors has been helping students become certified welders through the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB). With over 30 years of experience in the industry, we are dedicated to providing top-quality training to ensure that our students are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed as welders.

WCTR has been a great resource and has given me the keys and tools to open more doors for me in life. The school was very open, friendly, supportive and understanding with my needs. They accommodated all my needs within reason of course. The shop was clean and as well kept as a functioning fabrication/repair and welding school can be. The shop supervisor Shawn is very knowledgeable and helpful. He will do all that he can do to help you. After my 5 months was finished I received a job the day of my final exam (Friday) and began working on Monday. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to work in the welding trade. I can’t wait to see what the new welding booths look like. The only reason why I can’t give them 5 starts is that we’re human and there’s always room to grow and improve.
